Hi, my name is Claire, the founder and creator of The Guru Coffee Co.

I've been very lucky to call Northumberland my home since 2006 and although born in Teesside in the North East, Northumberland is very much where my heart is. 

​

It all started with a pipe dream of having my own little coffee shop, but it always seemed out of reach.  When redundancy from my job of 10 years at RAF Boulmer was handed to me in February 2019, it was the kick up the bum I needed to turn my dreams into something real, and so I set to work creating my own business and The Guru Coffee Co. was born.  Helping me to realise my dreams is my now Husband and business partner Ian. Together we make Guru the success that it is today and we are both so excited to grow our coffee empire together and bring to you the finest quality, freshest coffee there is!

The Guru Coffee Co. is all about keeping it local. keeping it fresh and keeping it as eco-friendly as possible. I want my Guru customers to not only enjoy our gorgeous Guru coffee, but to enjoy the friendly service in our beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside.

 

Working with a local roastery to bring you exquisite, roasted to order coffee that delivers that unmistakably fresh coffee aroma! Coffee that is 100% Single Origin Arabica, grown at high altitude and of the highest quality. All roasted to order every time from raw green coffee beans!

I work with super talented local independent businesses to bring you a selection of delicious homemade cakes and snacks, loose leaf teas and Guru coffee merchandise. We source products that are made here in Northumberland. Some of those products are available to buy from the website, so make sure you take a look!
